Founded in 2007, today Hyrgal consists of Clément Flandrois (ex-Svart Crown - vocals/guitar), Mathias Nagy (Gorgon, Havor - guitar), Alexis Chiambretto (Unholdun, Deveikuth - bass), and Rémi Serafino (ex-Svart Crown, ex-Dissident - drums). In 2017, the band released their debut album 'Serpentine' under Naturmacht Productions, as well as a split with Ba’a and Verfallen. In 2018, Hyrgal signed with Les Acteurs de l’Ombre Productions.
In 2020, their second album 'Fin de Règne' was published, followed by the release of their self-titled third album 'Hyrgal' in May 2022, affirming the group's strong influences from 90's Black Metal.
The new EP 'Sessions Funéraires' was released on April 7, 2023, solidifying Hyrgal's position as a reliable name in French Black Metal.
